The PAT DS 350"G" was initially installed by Grove Worldwide the leading U.S. Crane Manufacturer at the time, as standard equipment beginning in 1987.  In 1990 the system console was upgraded to the PAT DS 350GW which included a large 4 row digital display and a foil keypad.  The DS 350GW remained the standard LMI until superceded by the graphic modular LMI DS 350GM beginning in 1996.

PAT DS 350GW Console Features

• Measures True Load Moment – By measuring the true load moment the DS 350GW senses boom dynamics, load swingout, wind loading, shock load and the effects of boom deflection. 
• Digital LCD Display – Large 4 row digital display and a super-twisted LCD-backlit for night operation, gives operators a clear and easy view from all angles
• Analog Meter – Along with relative load moment information, it provides a quick, convenient way for operators to see where they are in the load chart.
• Anti-Two-Block – A special hoist limit switch sounds an alarm and flashes a visual warning of an impending two-block condition.
• Function Control Lever Lockout – When the LMI System senses an overload or an impending two-block condition, the PAT DS 350GW provides a relay output which can be used to engage an optional lever lockout system to override hoist “up” telescope “out” and boom “down.”
• Self-Diagnostics – Continuously monitors system and sensors. Error codes are displayed to help identify problems and minimize downtime.
